New Postage Stamp Honors Boxing Champion Oleksandr Usyk

A new postage stamp titled “USYK. World loves the strong” celebrates Ukraine’s undefeated boxing legend Oleksandr Usyk. The set includes six stamps, a “First Day” cover, and a collectible card. Proceeds will support the Oleksandr Usyk Charitable Foundation, helping the Ukrainian army and humanitarian efforts.

Usyk is celebrated for his achievements, including being the undisputed world champion in both cruiserweight (2018) and heavyweight (2024) divisions, as well as earning titles such as European champion (2008), world champion (2011), and Olympic champion (2012). Beyond his sports accolades, Usyk has been recognized as a Full Cavalier of the Order of Merit, a National Legend of Ukraine, and a recipient of the Order of Freedom. In response to Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, he established a charity foundation to support the Ukrainian army, assist those affected by the aggression, and promote educational projects.
