Real Heroes of Kherson: How Your Donations Are Saving Lives

Every donation tells a story. And this one comes from the heart of Kherson, Ukraine — a region still under threat, where compassion endures even in the most difficult conditions.

Thanks to your incredible support through GiftsFromUkraine.com and UkraineGiftDelivery.com, we are able to provide ongoing help to the 4 Lapy Animal Shelter in Kherson and a group of brave volunteers in Kindiyka, Antonivka, and Oleshky.

These volunteers are not part of an official shelter. They walk on foot through dangerous areas, carrying food to feed stray cats and dogs that have been left behind amid destruction and ongoing shelling. These animals live right on the streets — with no roof over their heads, no protection, and no one else to turn to.

And yet, the volunteers keep showing up. Every single day.

We’ve asked them to share photos and videos — raw, unfiltered, just as things are — so you can see the difference you’re making. The bowls of food, the wagging tails, the careful hands reaching out to frightened animals — these are the moments your donations make possible.
