Ukraine “Country of Superhumans” Postage Stamp Sheet, 2025

A powerful tribute to courage, resilience, and the Ukrainians rebuilding their lives after devastating war injuries, the “Country of Superhumans” (Країна Суперлюдей) stamp sheet is one of Ukrposhta’s most meaningful charitable issues.

Released in cooperation with Superhumans Center, the Ukrainian rehabilitation center providing prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, psychological support, and rehabilitation to people affected by the war, this issue honors Ukrainians who continue living, working, and fighting for their future after losing limbs. The artwork was created by renowned Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko. 

The characters depicted on the stamps were inspired by real Ukrainian heroes, including Ruslana “Sima” Danilkina, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine at only 18, and veteran Oleksii “Oleksa” Prytula, a veterinarian in civilian life. 

Bold, contemporary artwork turns the traditional image of a superhero into something profoundly Ukrainian: real people whose strength is measured not by being invulnerable, but by finding the courage to move forward.

The Story Behind the Stamp

These are not fictional superheroes.

The people who inspired Ukraine’s Country of Superhumans stamps are real Ukrainians whose lives were changed by war. Created by Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko, the series was inspired by veterans Ruslana “Sima” Danilkina and Oleksii “Oleksa” Prytula and represents Victory, Struggle and Hope.

The issue was created at the initiative of Superhumans Center, which provides free prosthetics, rehabilitation and other care to Ukrainians affected by the war. Even the stamp itself helps: part of its original value was designated for charitable support of rehabilitation programs.

Country of Superhumans is therefore much more than a postage stamp. It is a small piece of modern Ukrainian history — a tribute to people who have suffered unimaginable injuries yet continue to rebuild their lives with courage and dignity.
