The story behind the stamps

The designs emerged from a nationwide competition organized by Ukrposhta and Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Of 195 submissions, Nikita Titov’s “Stork. Freedom” won the public vote in the Diia app, and Andriy Yermolenko’s “Messenger of Good” placed second. Together, the designs express hope for the return of those held captive and those missing, while honoring the humanity that endures even in captivity.
