Celebrate Ukraine’s hope for peace and victory with this official 2023 EUROPA postage stamp sheet issued by Ukrposhta. Titled “Peace is the Highest Value of Humanity,” this meaningful Ukrainian collectible was created as part of the international EUROPA stamp program and reflects Ukraine’s struggle for freedom following Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The collectible sheet contains 6 Ukrainian postage stamps arranged as two complementary designs.
One design features a new international symbol of peace, created by Luxembourg designers Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir. Inspired by the Celtic love knot, its intertwined hands symbolize cooperation, respect and people standing together.
The second design was created by Ukrainian artist Mariia Suslova. For Ukraine, peace cannot be separated from victory and freedom. Her artwork reflects the ideas of Peace, Victory and Ukraine and placed second in the international PostEurop design competition.
A Special EUROPA Stamp Issue
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Ukrposhta proposed “Peace is the Highest Value of Humanity” as the common EUROPA stamp theme. Postal administrations across Europe subsequently participated in the issue as a symbol of solidarity and the shared hope for peace.
Ukrposhta released the Ukrainian EUROPA Peace stamps on May 24, 2023.
