“The Herald of Goodness” Ukrainian Stamp Sheet

“The Herald of Goodness” (Вісниця добра) is a Ukrainian postage stamp sheet designed by Andriy Yermolenko and issued by Ukrposhta on August 24, 2026. Part of the “We Are Waiting!” (Ми чекаємо!) issue, this product contains one sheet of 6 stamps.

A keepsake of hope and solidarity with Ukraine

Created for the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, this issue honors Ukrainian prisoners of war and the people waiting for their return. For friends of Ukraine around the world, it is a meaningful reminder of human dignity, compassion, and the hope of homecoming. Add it to your Ukrainian stamp collection or give it to someone who stands with Ukraine.

The story behind the design

Ukrposhta describes Yermolenko’s artwork as a Ukrainian prisoner of war feeding a small bird through the bars, with barbed wire evoking a crown of thorns. The contrast expresses the compassion and humanity that endure even in captivity.

The design placed second in the public vote for a nationwide stamp competition organized by Ukrposhta and Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The competition received 195 submissions.
