The Story Behind the Stamp Block

The first Weapons of Victory stamps, issued in 2022, featured weapons that had become symbols of Ukraine’s resistance, including HIMARS, Javelin, Bayraktar TB2, Neptune, Stugna-P and Vilkha.

The second issue, Weapons of Victory. World with Ukraine, celebrated military equipment supplied by Ukraine’s international partners.

With Weapons of Victory. Made in UA, Ukrposhta turned the spotlight inward — to Ukraine’s own defense industry.

Despite full-scale war, Ukrainian engineers, designers and manufacturers continued developing new technology and expanding production of weapons needed by the country’s defenders. The six systems represented on this stamp block show the remarkable range of that innovation: from reconnaissance and strike drones to artillery, armored vehicles and unmanned naval technology.

The postal issue was created with the support of Ukraine’s Ministry of Strategic Industries and became the next chapter in Ukrposhta’s popular Weapons of Victory series.

The 6 Stamps Feature

• Lutyi – a Ukrainian strike tactical unmanned aerial vehicle designed to hit stationary targets deep behind enemy lines.
• Eskadron – a large Ukrainian FPV drone created using modular assembly.
• Bohdana – Ukraine’s self-propelled artillery system and the first Ukrainian SPG developed for the NATO-standard 155 mm caliber.
• Kozak – a Ukrainian armored vehicle designed to transport personnel, weapons and military equipment.
• SHARK – a reconnaissance UAV used for observation and artillery fire adjustment.
• MAGURA V5 – a Ukrainian maritime drone used for reconnaissance, patrol, search-and-rescue, mine-clearance, ship protection and combat missions.

From Land to Air to Sea

What makes this stamp issue particularly interesting is the range of Ukrainian technology it represents.

Bohdana symbolizes the development of Ukraine’s domestic artillery capabilities. SHARK, Lutyi and Eskadron reflect the increasingly important role of unmanned aerial systems. Kozak represents Ukraine’s armored vehicle industry, while MAGURA V5 demonstrates Ukraine’s development of unmanned maritime technology.

Together, the six stamps tell a story not only of war, but of a country adapting, inventing and producing technology under extraordinary circumstances.

Charity Issue Supporting Ukraine’s Defenders

The original Ukrposhta release also included a charitable component. From the sale of each postal block, 30 UAH was allocated by Ukrposhta to support Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.
