On April 26, 2022, at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, defense ministries from over 40 countries across the EU, NATO, Africa, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, and the Asia-Pacific region came together to form this pivotal alliance, with numerous other nations joining over time.
This year’s release shines a spotlight on the remarkable examples of foreign military assistance provided to Ukraine, encapsulating the spirit of global solidarity. The postage block proudly showcases detailed representations of key military assets contributed by coalition members: the formidable Challenger 2 (UK) and Leopard 2 (Germany) main battle tanks, the advanced Patriot® air defense missile system (USA), the precise CAESAR self-propelled artillery system (France), and the versatile M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (USA).
